Lead Dentist - North Shore 4086441

An established, sedation-focused Auckland practice is opening a second branch on the North Shore and is looking for a Lead Dentist to build it with them. You'd have 20 years of proven systems, an experienced principal and a full management team behind you, so you can lead a clinic without carrying the business side alone.

About the practice and the role:

• Full time (around 35 clinical hours a week), part time also considered
• Lead dentist at the new branch, running on the practice's established brand, systems and processes
• Care for nervous patients is at the heart of the practice, with nitrous and IV sedation part of everyday dentistry (600+ hours of sedation a year at the main practice)
• Comprehensive general dentistry, with clinical autonomy and scope to develop your own interests
• Mentoring from an experienced principal dentist, plus support from the main practice's associate dentists, oral health therapists and clinical dental technician
• Dedicated management team handles staffing, admin, systems and marketing
• Multi-surgery clinic in a busy retail and health precinct, equipped with OPG, digital intraoral x-ray, Osstem K3 chair, Mocom steriliser, Cattani suction and perioscopy
• Scope to step into a clinical lead role and mentor other clinicians as the branch grows
• Remuneration: 40% commission less lab fees, plus a growth-linked bonus
• Optional path to ownership of the North Shore practice. Leadership and ownership are optional, and dentists wanting a long-term clinical role are equally welcome
• Start date: late 2026 or early 2027, with flexibility for the right person

About you:

• Ideally 5+ years of general clinical experience
• Knowledge of and proficiency with all aspects of general dentistry
• Confident planning and discussing treatment plans with patients
• A calm, considerate approach, particularly with nervous patients
• IV sedation and nitrous experience highly regarded, but training can be supported
• Interested in building a long-term patient book and growing the practice
• Warm chairside manner and enjoy working as part of a team
